Heysea Secures 70-Foot Power Catamaran Order from European Owner on Day Two of Cannes Yachting Festival

Nearly 50 prospective clients booked appointments to visit Heysea before the show, and on the second day of the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, the company secured an order for a 70-foot power catamaran from a European owner.

The new yacht is scheduled for delivery in June 2028.

The signing was not an isolated transaction on the show floor. Before this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival opened, Heysea had already received nearly 50 advance appointments from prospective clients planning to visit the yacht and meet with the team during the show. Since the exhibition opened, these clients have been arriving on board for yacht viewings and further discussions.

From advance appointments to onboard visits and, ultimately, a confirmed order, the response from the market is becoming increasingly clear:

More yacht owners from Europe and other established yachting markets are actively discovering Heysea, experiencing its yachts and choosing the brand.

The Cannes Yachting Festival is one of the most important events in the global yacht industry. For yacht builders, its value goes far beyond displaying a product. It provides an opportunity to meet owners face to face, understand how they intend to use their yachts, and discuss everything from space and craftsmanship to performance, configuration and life on the water.

This is particularly relevant for experienced yacht owners. Many have already owned one or more yachts and are familiar with different brands, models and ownership experiences. They know what they want and are often able to judge more clearly whether a yacht genuinely suits their needs.

The fact that nearly 50 prospective clients made appointments with Heysea before the show reflects a broader shift. International interest in the brand is moving beyond simply becoming aware of a Chinese yacht builder. More clients are now actively exploring Heysea’s products, comparing different options and entering into more detailed discussions about their next yacht.

The 70-foot power catamaran order signed on the second day of the show turned that interest into a clear decision.

Visitors at the Heysea Booth During the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival

Many of the owners visiting Heysea at Cannes already own one or more yachts and are familiar with established French, Italian and Polish yacht brands. As experienced owners, they tend to approach their next purchase with clearer expectations and a more considered perspective.

Brand recognition is only one part of their decision-making process. They also consider whether a yacht suits their individual needs, whether its design reflects the way they intend to use it, whether build quality is consistent, whether after-sales support is reliable, and whether the builder has the capability to turn their ideas into reality.

These are precisely the capabilities Heysea has continued to strengthen throughout its development.

Serving a global market does not mean offering the same solution to every owner. It means understanding different lifestyles, cruising habits and expectations, and translating those needs into the yacht itself.

At Heysea, the owner’s requirements inform the design. Engineering turns those ideas into practical solutions, while manufacturing and quality control ensure that they are delivered consistently.

Behind this process is an integrated capability covering research and development, design, engineering, production, systems integration and quality assurance.

Heysea first exhibited at the Cannes Yachting Festival ten years ago. Over the past decade, the company has continued to return to Europe and engage directly with yacht owners from around the world.

During that time, the response from the market has gradually evolved.

From initial awareness and early conversations, to more clients making appointments in advance, stepping on board Heysea yachts and ultimately signing contracts, Heysea is building an increasingly strong connection with the global yachting market.

At Cannes, Heysea is seeing a global yacht market that is becoming more open, more informed and more willing to evaluate yachts on their own merits.

Looking ahead, Heysea will continue to respond to the needs of yacht owners around the world through design, engineering, manufacturing, quality and service, giving more owners the confidence to choose Heysea after experiencing the brand for themselves.
